Interested in becoming Security+ (SYO-501) certified but don't know exactly where to start? This session will explore the fundamentals of security, its unique terminology, and basic attacks and defenses that provides the foundation of the Security+ certification. After covering the fundamentals we will look at advanced security training that can be used to prepare for taking the Security+ certification and for training students in advanced security topics. This material can also be used to help students who are interested in becoming certified. Hands-on projects that illustrate these fundamentals will also be included.
Who Should Attend: This session is intended for instructors who are looking to improve their instruction of Security+ topics with their students. Participants should hold at least CompTIA A+ and Network+ or equivalent experience.
